HoraLight is KeepTool's product that makes it easy for anyone to manage data in tables and views.
HoraLight's design and functionality is based on the full version of KeepTool's classic product, Hora.
Besides offering various ways of looking at tables and views, HoraLight offers the Import/Export, Reporting,
and other data-oriented functions of Hora.
HoraLight's SQL Workbench, with its versatile editor component, allows users to create and test SQL commands and PL/SQL.
The features detailed below function in the same manner as in the full version of Hora. |

Import/Export
Facility
The
Import and Export Wizards in HoraLight permit users to import from such formats
as Microsoft Excel, DBF, XML, and text; and to export to these formats
and to Microsoft Word, PDF, and HTMLjust to name a few examples. In other
words, there is no more need to create comma-delimited files as an
intermediate step when moving data into or out of the database in
order to interface with end users. |

Reporting Facility
HoraLight offers a reporting tool that lets
you choose between applying default formatting to tables, views, and
query results, or calling on a designer that lets you specify precise
formatting and positioning on the page. You can save the format for
use at a later time, and you can save the actual report in a variety
of formats, including PDF and HTML.

The Data Contents Browser
The Data Contents Browser allows quick navigation back and forth between related tables. You can quickly add to or replace a filter for a particular table or view, then filter by selection to see the related rows of master and detail tables.
When you end your session, you can save the Browser settings to an XML file, which will automatically open the Browser with the same filters and tables the next time that you log on. |

SQL Workbench
HoraLight lets users or workgroups organize their frequently used
SQL commands hierarchically in the Windows file system, using a tree structure where nodes can be both added and removed at any point. SQL*Plus statements can also be sent to a new session that will display results in the Workbench's output window. This window may also display an updatable query results grid,
an execution plan, or DBMS_OUTPUT.
With the SQL Query Builder, users
can graphically generate SELECT statements from multiple tables or views with the appropriate joins supplied automatically.

| An
Efficient SQL Editor
The integrated SQL editor offers various preset color schemes that highlight syntax through color coding and allow users to create professional-looking code with multiple levels of indentation.
Font style, font size, visibility of rulers and line numbers, and keyboard behavior is completely customizable through a series of check boxes.
